First of all, I am really going to miss all of you and all of the wonderful progress we have been making. The most important thing you need to do is practice at home! See below for your home work. There is tuning help by clicking the tuning tab above!
1. If you forgot your instrument, you will need to go through your music and air finger and sing your part. You can practice note reading on musictheory.net. and watch any videos I send.
2. Practice both music days for at least 30 minutes each. Make sure to watch the tuning videos above. Here is another video I made just for you! CLICK HERE
3. What to practice:
Music to print, if needed:
See Print Music Tab above!
5th graders- start with your D Major scale, Listen for good tone. Do half notes first with long bows, fingers on tapes and a good position. Go through the D Major scale and warm ups, at least the first two. Work on all concert songs: Frere Jacques, Ode To Joy, Boil the Cabbage and Cripple Creek. Spend time on sections that are hardest and repeat several times. PLUCK as needed and go slowly. Build speed when it is perfect.
